1. Departure from Ensenada
We begin our adventure in Ensenada, where we board our van and drive toward El Cable, a well-known sector of the Petrohué River.
2. Preparation and Launch
Upon arrival, we unload our cataraft and fishing gear. After a brief introduction, we start navigating downstream, covering approximately 15 km along the river.
3. River Navigation & Fishing
As we move through the crystal-clear, blue waters of the Petrohué River, we’ll explore its best fishing spots. Throughout the journey, you’ll have the opportunity to catch species such as Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and the Chinook Salmon.
The navigation offers a mix of calm stretches, exciting rapids, and breathtaking views of surrounding mountains and volcanoes.
4. End of Route – Río Frío Sector
We conclude our descent 8 km before the Petrohué River estuary, at the Río Frío sector. From there, we drive back to our base in Ensenada.
